Mermaid Forest (Takahashi Rumiko Gekijou Ningyo no Mori)

Yuta consumed mermaid flesh five centuries ago, granting him immortality but condemning him to an endless search for normalcy. After discovering mermaids raising a girl as food to maintain their youth, he kills them and saves her,only to learn she too has tasted their flesh. Now bound together by their curse, Yuta and Mana journey across Japan seeking other mermaids, each hoping to reverse the dark gift that made them immortal.
