Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei (Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei)
Also known as: さよなら絶望先生
Nozomu Itoshiki, a high school instructor consumed by extreme pessimism, spirals into despair over even trivial setbacks, sometimes attempting suicide as a result. This satirical comedy-drama explores modern Japanese society and culture through Nozomu's daily interactions with his unconventional students: the housebound Kiri Komori, the perpetually injured Abiru Kobushi, the relentlessly upbeat Kafuuka Fuura, and an array of equally peculiar classmates.
